How to type : without pressing Shift key.?

I have to type a lot of hours and minutes in hh:mm format. To type the COLON, I have to press Shift+: keys together. I have to leave the mouse and use both hands to do that - repeatedly. Is there a way to type : without pressing the Shift key?
